When are you open? The Farmshop is open from 11am-4pm Wednesday thru Sunday and Public Holidays.
Fork it Farm is a working family farm, therefore all food experiences need to be pre-booked (via the Food Experiences page).
Can I purchase food to eat at the farmshop? Yes. Our ever changing limited 'EATS on the Farm' menu is available on demand or you can build your own picnic platter.
Is there somewhere to sit and eat at the farm? Yes. We have a covered rustic long table and picnic tables situated overlooking the farm.
Do you have drinks available for purchase? Yes. We offer water on the house, Tasmanian soft drinks are available to purchase or you can BYO alcoholic beverages.
Is there toilet facilities available? Yes. We have a compostable outhouse available in the picnic area.
What do I get when I book a Feast, Picnic or other event? Our Feasts are a conducted at a long farmhouse table which seats 12. Multiple seasonal dishes will celebrate the nose-to-tail delicacies of the pig, all matched with boutique Tasmanian wine, beer and cider.
Our Paddock Picnics are conducted in the paddock so please keep in mind weather (the Tassie sun has bite so a hat is recommended in Summer). Each serve is generous so order according to your parties appetite (e.g. a family of 2 adults and 2 children may choose to order only 3 serves).
Feasts and Paddock Picnics are prepared ready for your arrival.
What happens if there is bad weather? Tasmania is known for it’s changing weather. We have a closed in area available however, it is recommended you layer up. Bring a hat and raincoat.
Is Fork it Farm kid friendly? We welcome children to the farm, however our Long Table Feasts are not appropriate for children.
Can we pet the animals? No. Due to Biosecurity and Animal Welfare we do not allow visitors to pet the animals.
What happens if I need to cancel my booking? Please contact us if you need to cancel and we will do our best to fill your spot. If we are able to fill your spot, we will happily refund you. We would also encourage you to offer your place to a friend. As our feasts are so small we are unable to offer refunds unless we get at least 14 days notice and/or we are able to secure replacement guests.
Where are you? Just a short 40 minute drive from Launceston, our farm is located in the heart of the Pipers Brook Wine Region and is on the Tamar Valley Wine Route.You can find us at the end of a country road in Lebrina, 311 Adams Rd Lebrina.
How do I get there? If you’re staying in the region (see the next question for some lovely places to stay) check with your host to see if they are able to offer you a lift to and from the farm.
Please be aware that although you might be able to book an Uber or taxi to us, you might not be able to book one back! It may be best to rent a car, or rent a car and driver.
Where can I stay? If you get in quick you can stay right here at Fork it Farm.
There are heaps of lovely places to stay throughout the region. Just down the road we have Retreat at Lockleigh Park and Murdoch Tasmania.
The Trig, The Container, The Space and The Cob Barn are all just a ten minute drive away, along with a host of other options. And a little further afield try Jetsonville Accomodation.
Do you cater for food allergies and dietary requirements? If you let us know on booking we can cater for allergies and will try to cater for other dietary requirements on request. Because of the nature of our farm, vegan options are not possible. If you have any queries at all, please contact [email protected]
